Comments Policy

Commenting on articles is a great way to provide feedback, ask questions, or participate in discourse on the article topic.

Moderating comments is a low priority and takes time away from reporting and publishing the news. Some articles or social media posts will not have a comments section. Most articles on the website have comments restricted to paying subscribers only as a benefit of supporting La Verne Daily News.

La Verne Daily News reserves the right to delete comments that are unkind, harmful, obviously spam, or for any other reason deemed necessary to protect civil discourse or safety. This applies to our website and social media pages.

We highly recommend participating in public comment during meetings and other forums, or contacting your elected representatives in the city council and school board directly.

What if there’s a factual error?

That might happen. If we've reported the facts incorrectly, please let us know by sending an email to staci@lavernedaily.org. If we need to issue a correction, we will update the post to reflect the correction and put a note at the top of the article describing what was corrected.

Have a news tip or story idea?

Send your news tips and story ideas to newstips@lavernedaily.org! We can’t report on everything, but we appreciate hearing what you think is newsworthy.
