GFWC La Verne-San Dimas Woman's Club
This local chapter of the international philanthropic General Federal of Women's Clubs supports other nonprofits such as Sowing Seeds For Life, Shepherd's Pantry, House of Ruth, Inland Valley Humane Society, Shoes That Fit, For Goodness Cakes, Eye-DAS, Ronald McDonald House, City of Hope, and more by fundraising and volunteering our time and efforts. - St. Damien's Food Pantry: Serving families near and far who are in a food insecurity crisis or who just need a helping hand for a week or two.
- Meals on Wheels: Delivers hot lunches to homebound seniors in the San Dimas/La Verne area.
- Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity: For information on current volunteer opportunities email info@habitatpv.org
- Inland Valley Hope Partners Food Bank: This local food bank is in need of water, socks, gloves, small rain ponchos and blankets. Other needs include food items that do not require cooking or refrigeration, and fresh fruit is always welcome.
- Sowing Seeds for Life: Sorts and distributes food to those in need.
- Bithiah's Family Services: Crisis housing, training, support, and resources to those working with vulnerable children.
- Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A.: Provides opportunities for individuals and groups to support animal care, advocacy, and rescue.
- La Verne-San Dimas Educational Foundation: Volunteers support students and staff across local schools.
- University of La Verne: Offers community service opportunities through courses and various community engagement initiatives.
