$23 for kids, $54 for adults (prices increase after Nov. 23)
The 18th annual Claremont Turkey Trot has a new start/finish location this year. The scenic course winds its way through the tree-lined streets of the Claremont Colleges and the adjacent historic neighborhoods.

Architect Foster Rhodes Jackson studied under Frank Lloyd Wright before moving to Chino, California, in 1946. Over his career, he designed hundreds of distinctive homes across Southern California, both custom and speculative. By the mid-1950s, Jackson had relocated his practice to his home in La Verne, where he continued working until his death in the late 1990s.

A holiday experience inspired by the world of Oz. Walk through two acres of illuminated gardens, fantasy creatures, storybook characters, forest mazes, and huge themed displays filled with millions of lights. The event also features free nightly circus performances by Cirque Legacy, holiday treats, balloon drops, a scavenger hunt, carnival rides, and games.

Santa’s rolling through La Verne on Christmas morning! Beginning at 7 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 25, sirens will announce his arrival as he passes by homes to share holiday greetings. Visit laverneca.gov/ChristmasMorning for maps and estimated sighting times.
